A study was performed to confirm the efficacy nature of Ayurveda in patients with PCOS. As many as 40 subjects were chosen for ayurvedic therapies such as Shodhana, Shamana, and Tarpana.  These treatments were administered in three phases for 6 months. The  outcomes were assessed based upon the relief witnessed by the patients, also various tests such as transvaginal scans and LH-FSH hormonal level detection were performed. In this study, Ayurvedic treatments helped to normalize ovulation cycles and thereby led to conception

In another study, a 38-year-old woman with an unknown cause of infertility was subjected to several conventional treatments in majorly 5 fertility centers of 3 different countries. Ultimately, the patient witnessed unusual complications  & she quit the allopathic treatment and  of her infertility. The Ayurveda therapy regimen incuded herbs, prescriptions about diet and lifestyle change, yoga,  & spiritual therapy. These effective therapies helped the woman attain pregnancy and eventually, she delivered a healthy baby boy in the year 2012.

Another study has reported on a couple who were unable to conceive after 11 years.. The woman was diagnosed with PCOS, and she opted for allopathic treatments that included IUI (Intra Uterine Insemination) and hormone-based therapy, without any success. She finally chose Ayurveda-based PCOS management in order to conceive a baby. As per the prescribed parameters, the situation was diagnosed as Vandhyatva (Infertility) which was caused due to Nashtartava (Amenorrhea). The basis of the therapy was Shodhana (Purification) and Shamana (Mitigation) therapeutic methods. During the course of the treatment, she lost 20kgs and thereafter experienced normal ovulation and menstruation. Consequently, she achieved a healthy pregnancy and succeeded in delivering a healthy baby girl.
